By The Lagos STate University Governing Council at its 114th Statutory Meeting has approved the promotion of staff numbering 228.
The meeting was held at the Unievrsity Senate Building on May 11th, 2017 and headed by the Chairman, Professor Adebayo Ninalowo.
According to the information made available to BlackBox Nigeria by the Acting Head of the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relation of the institution, Mr Ademola Adekoya, all members of staff promoted have been issued with their letters of promotion.
A total of 61 Academic staff where promoted which included 7 Associate Professors elevated to the position of Professors. 167 Non-Academic staff were promoted across different cadres.
For the Teaching Staff Members, Seven (7) Associate
Professors were promoted to full Professors, Thirty-nine (39)
Senior Lecturers to Associate Professors, Nine (9) Lecturer I are now Senior Lecturers, Three Lecturer II have become Lecturer I, one Assistant Lecturer is now a Lecturer II, one Senior Librarian is now a Principal Librarian and one Librarian II to Librarian I, accounting for sixty-one (61) teaching members of staff on the promotion list.
