LASU Alumni Fete Members, Visit Orphanage Home

 

It was a moment of caring and loving penultimate Saturday when members of the Lagos State University Alumni Association (Abuja Chapter) paid a visit to the Mother Theresa Orphanage Home, Gwarinpa.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the visit was part of activities to celebrate the end of the year by the alumni body. They visited the Orphanage bearing gifts which included food stuffs, toiletries, children materials and cash to assist in running of the place.

Chairman of Abuja Chapter of the Alumni, Barrister Gbenga Olubajo encourage the children never to look down on themselves because of their present status as he advised them to always “think and aim higher, and strive to be the best in whatever you do”. He gave the words of encouragement after presenting the gifts the Association had for them.

The group later met at Rivers Plate Garden, located in Central Business District of Abuja for a time for themselves. The event was well attended by high ranking Alumni members who were led by the National President, Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe RTD; a member of the LASU Alumni Board of Trustee, Major General Jibrin RTD.

While the gathering were entertained to a live band by popular alumnae Juju musician, Amuludun.

The Lasu Alumni Association, Abuja Chapte also used the moment to catch up with old friends and also connect with new faces.
