LASG Rescues Man After Collapsing At Egbeda Bus Stop
A man identified as Babatunde Adeola is currently receiving treatment at Alimosho General Hospital after he was rescued by officials of the Lagos State Government on Tuesday after the victim was found in a poor state at Egbeda Bus Stop in Alimosho Local Government Area of the State.
According to Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde, Babatunde was rushed to the hospital after LASG officials were hinted that he was abandoned at the road side after he was dumped by the State ambulance.
Reports from the hospital revealed that initial diagnosis revealed that an infection of the brain cells due to “heavy substance abuse” allegedly taken by the victim before he was seen at the bus stop.
Doctors at the hospital disclosed to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode that Babatunde has since been responding to treatment since he was admitted. It was gathered that the Governor was on inspection tour of health facilities across the State.
Mr Ayorinde attributed the quick medical attention gotten by the victim to the social media which posted a video of Babatunde after he was dumped by an ambulance belonging to the State Government. BlackBox Nigeria gathered that prior to when he was dumped, Babatunde was earlier picked up by same ambulance but was later returned to the same location due to unknown reasons.
