By LALIGA: Ernesto warns Griezman after losing 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao
Ernesto Valverde , Barcelona manager did not mince words when scolding their new sign-in, Antoine Griezman for yesterday’s loss to home-team Athletic Bilbao.
Ernesto who was obviously not pleased with Griezman’s reserved efforts yesterdays has warned him to come into play.
The 28-year-old Griezman made his first league appearance for Football Club Barcelona yesterday, were they concede a shocking 1-0 against Athletic Bilbao in the opening fixtures on Friday.
The absence of the Messi factor and injury of Luis Suarez left the €120millon sign in isolated, as he could barely make an impact on the peach last night.
“If he’s near the area, he is decisive and moves well, but you have to dominate the game for that to happen.
“Putting him on the left side, we know that you are going to focus on the goal, but we have a side and players that can hold the game.
“of course, he is aware that we all expect a lot from many players and he has to aim to get more in the game”, Velverde.
