Lagos2019: More Woes For Governor Ambode As 36 State Lawmakers Sign Against Second Term Bid

 

Fresh reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria at this moment has it that Governor Akimwunmi Ambode is far from being cleared as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress as majority of the State Lawmakers as signed against his second tenure.

In an exclusive chat with BlackBox Nigeria, a Lagos State House of Assembly source who will not like to be mentioned disclosed that 36 out of the 40 State Lawmakers had an emergency meeting on Saturday, September 29th and all present signed against the second term bid of the Epe born administrator. The meeting was held at the popular Lateef Jakande Auditorium.

The source added that the the remaining four Lawmakers who were not present at the meeting included a PDP member, while two were the Members representing Epe Constituencies I and II at the State Assembly and the last one being a top member of the APC who would have signed if he was present at the meeting.

It was learnt that the State Lawmakers disclosed that the leadership pattern of the Ambode-led State Government was not encouraging as all the stakeholders in the State were not carried along in vital decision making.

According to the source, it was at the conclusion of the meeting that the Lawmakers declared their support for Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, a candidate of the ruling APC who is fast gaining support of most of the party structures in the State.
