Lagos State Shuts Hotel In Ikorodu Over Involvement In Criminal Activity

Lagos State Government announced on Sunday the sealing off of Western Lodge Hotel until further notice. The hotel is located on Isawo Road, in Ikorodu area of the state. It was shut down over alleged illegal and criminal activities that have been linked up to the building lately.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde made this disclosure in a statement saying the hotel has recently been associated with criminal activities according to investigations.

While urging the members of the public to be on the lookout for criminals and not use any buildings around to harbour hoodlums, the commissioner said security officials have been immediately deployed in and around Ikorodu to restate government’s determination in saving lives and properties.

“The State Government warns that it will not hesitate to prosecute and confiscate any building found to have been used or is being used to aid criminal activities, Mr. Ayorinde said.
