By Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa Endorses Tokunbo Abiru For Lagos East Senatorial Seat
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has endorsed Tokunbo Abiru in to replace Late Senator Bayo Oshinowo for the positions of Lagos East senatorial district in the scheduled bye-election slated for October 31, 2020, under the banners of All Progressives Congress.
Taking to Twitter to express his approval, the R. Hon Speaker said Abiru has shown a great deal of enthusiasm in governance while commending his will to launch into politics and impact positively through APC.

Recall that Tokunbo Abiru formerly resigned from Polaris on Monday 31st of August to join the race for the Lagos East By-election.
The Ikorodu born former Managing Director of Polaris Bank been consulting with stakeholders in the APC ahead of the party’s primary taking place on Thursday, 3rd of September, 2020. Over the weekend, it was gathered that Abiru met with Local Government party Chairmen and ward executives in Ikorodu Federal constituency to seek their support for the senatorial seat.
