The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed that the autopsy report on the late singer Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Aloba, has not been received by the authorities.

The autopsy, which commenced after the exhumation of the singer’s corpse, aimed to uncover the circumstances leading to his controversial death on September 12.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, had indicated in September that the autopsy was concluded.

But Hundeyin told Punch newspapers on Monday that the command is yet to receive the report.

“The autopsy report has not been given to us. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumors, we work with facts,” he said.

The delay raises questions and concerns, as speculations surrounding Mohbad’s death persist.

BlackBox Nigeria reported that Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda appealed for the prompt release of his late colleague Mohbad’s remains.

Expressing deep concern over the two-month delay in the autopsy, he called for the immediate disclosure of the results.

Bella Shmurda called on the police authorities to provide answers, stressing the need for a proper burial for Mohbad.
