By The Lagos State Police have arrested 185 notorious cultist in the Ikorodu axis of Lagos, recovering 8 locally made pistols and other dangerous weapons from them.
The arrested suspects confessed to belong to Eiye, Aiye, KK, Buccaneers, Vikings confraternities, among others.
One of the cult members, Gbadamosi Mohammed, 30, was also arrested over the death of one Madariola Sunday, at Ibeshe on May, 21 2020 .
Other suspects; Onibudo Afeex ‘m’, Habeeb Isa ‘m’, Felix Igwoke ‘m’, Taiwo Iyanu ‘m’, were arrested in an uncompleted building whilst holding a cult meeting.
Subsequently, One Adeoye Daya, 25, an hit man of the Aiye confraternity was arrested at the Ikorodu garage, whilst one locally made short gun and rounds of live cartridges were recovered from him.
Also, One Shodeinde Tosin, an hit man of the Eiye confraternity in Igbogbo was also arrested with a locally made short gun.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu , while confirming the arrests states that the operations will be sustained in all parts of the State until the criminal gangs are totally defeated.
Adding that the suspects will be charged to Court.
