Lagos NYCN Chairman named into Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board

The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Lagos State, Comrade Olalekan Billiamin Oba has been appointed as a member of the Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board for a two-year term.

His appointment was contained in a letter dated 14th January, 2022 and signed by the General Secretary of the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group, Hon. Prince Rotimi Ogunleye.

“IDRDG at its meeting held on Sunday 9th January 2022 considered and approved your nomination into the Board in view of your indelible and invaluable contributions to the socio-economic development of Lagos State, Nigeria and particularly the Ikorodu Division,” it read in part.

The letter further stated the terms of reference of the appointment which include: to manage the affairs of the Ikorodu Town Hall to ensure that it operates efficiently for the delivery of its services; to formulate policies and strategies that will make the Ikorodu Town Hall competitive in its sector; to ensure its financial statements and other reports are transparent and they are in compliance with accepted standards; and to oversee the operations of the Ikorodu Town Hall for sustainability and continuity.

Oba, a seasoned youth advocate, recently emerged as the ‘Youth Advocate of the Year’ at the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.
