The Lagos State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Lekan Biliamin, Wednesday, commended the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for charging the newly inaugurated board members of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to prioritize the development and empowerment of youths.
In a statement exclusively obtained by Blackbox Nigeria, Comrade Lekan lauded governor Sanwo-Olu for pointing out the necessity of youths in design and implementation of initiatives such as the Lagos Employment Trust Fund.
“If a nation must grow, it must invest in the growth of the youths.” Comrade Lekan said.
The NYCN chairman, while assuring governor Sanwo-Olu of absolute dedication to the growth of youths in the state, also thanked the LSETF Board Chairperson, Mrs. Bola Adeola for her readiness to positively impact MSMEs.
Com. Lekan, while thanking the Honorable Commissioner of Youth and Social Development, Mr. Olusegun Dawodu for his immense support in ensuring youths are involved in government development initiatives, challenged youths to start taking responsibilities by proving their.
The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law, 2016 , to provide financial support , job, wealth creation and tackle unemployment in the state.
LSETF is also saddled with the responsibility of promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State.
