Despite attempts to squash the royal ambitions of the Chairman of National Union of Road Transit Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), the coast is now clear for him to ascend the Oba of Oshodi throne.
This was revealed after a series of successful deliberations among members of the joint body of all the ruling houses in Oshodi — Arota-Ologun families.
Recall last December, BlackBox Nigeria reported the statement of the Olushi Onigbesa Family asking the Lagos State Government to stop MC Oluomo from becoming the Oba of Oshodi.
However, the royal throne, which has been vacant for some time due to arguments between the ruling houses over who should be the next King, is set to get a new occupant.
According to 123 Oshodi Blog, one of the persons who contributed to achieving a joint agreement, peace and unification of the ruling houses was the Executive Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Oloyede who is a member of the Almaroof ruling house.
Families present at the meeting organised by the Oshodi regent, Alhaji Biliaminu Akinola from the Akinola house were the Dawodu family, Almaroof family, Odebisi family, Ajenifuja family, Akesode family, Afariogun family, Shonibare family, Kupoluyi family and Owosheni family.
The highpoint of the meeting was the joint and peaceful resolution that Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo of the Almaroof family should be the next Oba of Oshodi.
Barring any last minute changes, the union boss will be ditching his uniform for the royal garb.
