In a shocking display of determination, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, publicly prostrated before Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday, pleading for the completion of critical road projects in Ikorodu Division.

The dramatic scene unfolded as Abiodun begged Sanwo-Olu to approve the completion of the Igbogbo/Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Igbe and Ijede Roads, which have been a source of concern for Ikorodu residents.

Abiodun remained on the ground until Sanwo-Olu assured him that his requests would be granted, prompting the lawmaker to rise to his feet amidst applause from onlookers.

The move highlights the urgency and importance of completing these roads, which have been a longstanding issue in the area.

The Lagos State House of Assembly has also been pushing for the completion of these roads, emphasizing the need for improved infrastructure in Ikorodu.

Sanwo-Olu has demonstrated his commitment to addressing these concerns, having previously announced plans to resume work on the Igbogbo and Agric-Isawo roads.

Additionally, he has commissioned the 6KM Ijede Road and initiated other projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure in Ikorodu.

The governor’s approval is expected to bring relief to Ikorodu residents, who have long suffered from the deplorable state of the roads.
