As preparations commence ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in Lagos State, an aspirant for the office of the Executive Chairman Lagos Island East LCDA under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babatunde Turner, has officially kick-started his race to occupy the coveted office.
The aspirant, on Thursday, picked his nomination form at the party secretariat located in Acme, Ogba, Lagos State.
Announcing the development in a statement, Turner said his mandate if elected as the next Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East LCDA centres on proffering solutions to the problems of governance and advancing the welfarism of the people.
“Our mandate seeks to proffer solutions to the constant disorderliness in our local government, proper drainage system, upscaling the living conditions condition of our people, sense of belonging of every resident, rehabilitation and reorientation of the Lagos Island East youth league against social vices, reintroduction of the students scholarship, multi-stakeholders engagement of industries, among others,” he said.
He then called for support of all stakeholders and well-meaning residents towards his quest to reposition Lagos Island East LCDA.
