The Lagos State Police have arrested one of its sergeant for allegedly inflicting matchet cuts on his neighbor.
The suspect was reported to have returned home, when he engaged his neighbors in a fight, allegedly cutting one of his neighbors with a machete.
The victim, Adekunle Ilesanmi, an inspector of the Nigerian police, sustained machete cuts while trying to impede the suspect from harming other neighbors.
Ayodele Eyitayo, one of the neighbors, also sustained minor injuries on his face.
However,a team of Policemen led by the Divisional Police Officer was promptly deployed to the scene as the injured persons were taken to hospital for treatment while the Sergeant was arrested.
Blackboxnigeria gathered that, inspector Ayodele Eyitayo, yesterday kicked the bucket after suffering machete injuries.
Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti has taken over the investigation as the suspect will be charged to Court.
