Comrade Giwa Muritala Omotola-Moore, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Technical and Vocational Education Board, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for introducing a monthly stipend of N45,000 to technical college students nationwide.

The initiative, according to Moore, is a significant boost to youth empowerment and will make technical education more attractive to young people, enhancing their employability locally and globally.

The SSA noted that the initiative aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ AGENDA, which aims to promote skills development among young people and workers.

Moore highlighted that the stipend will encourage more students to enroll in technical education, bridging the skills gap in the economy and contributing to the growth and development of the state’s economy.

Moore commended President Tinubu’s administration for recognizing the importance of technical education in driving economic growth and development.

The initiative is seen as a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to empowering the youth and equipping them with the skills needed to compete in the global workforce.

Moore urged stakeholders to seize this opportunity to promote technical education and vocational training, contributing to the rebirth of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria.
