Lagos Governor, Ambode reacts to Sanwo-Olu’s victory 

Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has expressed his excitement over the victory of the APC flag bearer at the just concluded gubernatorial elections in the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Moments ago, the former commissioner in the state was declared the Governor-Elect after defeating his PDP counterpart, Jimi Agbaje in a landslide victory.

Taking to twitter, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode who lost the party ticket to Sanwo-Olu last October expressed his heartfelt excitement over the party’s victory at the polls. 

APC wins all 40 Assembly seats in Lagos

“This is a victory for continuity in governance,” Ambode shared in his tweet while wishing Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat a successful term in office. 

The Governor tweeted, 

“Hearty congratulations to the Lagos State Governor-Elect, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. This is a victory for continuity in governance,  victory for the APC and victory for all Lagosians. I wish them a successful term in office.”
