Lagos Court Sends Evans The Kidnapper To Kirikiri Prison As Case Gets Adjournment
Evans the billionaire kidnapper was arraigned at an Ikeja Division of the Lagos State High Court for charges bothering on kidnapping and murder. He was arraigned in Court with five other accomplices which included a woman.
His accomplices included Uche Amadi, Ogechi Izechuwku, Okechukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi and one Victor Chukwumonso.

The Court which was heavily guarded was presided over by Justice Hakeem Oshodi and the gang were called out by the Clerk for the hearing of their case.
Several lawyers presented themselves as legal counsels to Evans and his gang members, among them was the controversial Olukoya Ogungbeje who has been parading since the popular kidnapper was arrested.
The prosecution was led by Lagos State Attorney General, Mr Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, he was present with other lawyers to represent the State Government.
As reported earlier, Evans, who has been linked to numerous successful kidnapping operations pleaded guilty to the charges but three other members of his gang pleaded not guilty.
After the guilty plea, the defending counsels demanded for an adjournment so as to communicate with theirclients as most of them were seeing them for first time during the court hearing.
The prosecuting counsel led by Mr Kazeem accepted the adjournment for proper trial and also made choice of the holding facility. The Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison was then picked by the Attorney General approved by Justice Oshodi who then adjourned the case till October 19th.
