The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has issued a 24 hours ultimatum to Tolulope Olayiwola popularly called “iamremote” over noise disturbances in celebration of Arsenal victory against Real Madrid.
The commissioner’s directive comes after Arsenal’s surprise victory over Real Madrid sparked raucous celebrations that reportedly disrupted the peace in the neighborhood.
The commissioner’s notice, which was circulated on social media, warned that failure to comply within the specified timeframe would result in unspecified consequences.
The tone of the message was firm, with a touch of humor, as Wahab referred to Real Madrid as “the greatest club in the world” in a seemingly tongue-in-cheek manner.
The statement reads, “Dear @iamremote
It has been brought to my attention that you were disturbing your neighbors with noise over your club, arse-anal’s unsolicited victory over my club, the greatest club in the world Realmadrid @realmadrid
Please note that you have just 24hours to vacate that your building. Else… 🙄”
While some residents have expressed support for the commissioner’s actions, citing the need for peace and quiet in residential areas, others have raised concerns about the potential impact on small businesses and the broader community.
As the situation unfolds, questions are being raised about the balance between the right to celebrate and the need to respect the peace and quiet of residential areas.
The incident has also sparked a heated debate on social media, with Arsenal and Real Madrid fans weighing in on the controversy.
The Lagos State government has yet to comment on the matter, but the commissioner’s actions have sent a clear message: noise disturbances will not be tolerated in the state.
