The executive chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Kosofe, Lagos State has been recognized as the Development Icon of the year.
The award ceremony organized by Vanguard Newspaper on 11th April, 2025, acknowledges his exceptional contributions to community development, marking a significant moment for grassroots leadership and community-driven governance in Nigeria.
Presenting the award by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adewusi Enitan, Mayor Oshinowo’s Achievements was acknowledged as a dedication to transforming communities, delivering life-changing projects, and prioritizing residents’ welfare has earned him this distinction.
He emerged as the top-ranked chairman out of 774 local government leaders across the country, a testament to his excellent performance by turning hitherto Agboyi Ketu into a city which the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, applauded as a fast-growing LCDA.
Mayor Oshinowo obtained a B.A. (Hons) in Business Studies and a Masters in Risk Management from the University of East London, United Kingdom.
Since he assumed the leadership of the council in 2017, he has impacted positively on the people of the community without the people-oriented massive infrastructural development projects.
He has excelled in the areas of infrastructural development, Education, Health, Environment, Agriculture, Social Development and Technology.
Within his administration, he has demonstrated a sense of development with a modern administrative block with state-of-the-art equipment.
Others are Greenwich Gardens 81 apartments, while the second phase has 20 apartments of 20 units of three-bedroom terrace duplexes with BQ totalling 101 apartments.
Others are Raymond Estate, Sterling Heights, industrial Borehole, construction of Agboyi-Ketu Shopping Arcade, construction of plank market, Ketu, legislative building, and acquiring of five 500KvA transformers.
The award serve as a testament to his incredible performance to the grassroot community.
