In a significant development that promises to transform the daily commute for millions of Lagosians, the eagerly anticipated Blue Line Rail transport is set to commence full commercial operations on Monday, September 4th, 2023.
This announcement was made by the chief press secretary to the governor, Gboyega Akosile, reaffirming Sanwolu’s commitment to improving the city’s transportation infrastructure.
To give members of the press and media executives a firsthand experience of what awaits Lagos residents, a special event was organized where journalists were invited to take a ride on the Lagos Blue Line Train.
This preview ride covered the route from Mile 2 to Marina, allowing participants to get a feel of the convenience and efficiency the new transport mode is set to bring to the city.
Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu’s administration has worked diligently to fulfill the promise of enhanced public transportation in Lagos.
The upcoming commencement of the Blue Line Rail’s commercial operations marks a major achievement in this regard.
By providing an alternative mode of travel, the Blue Line Rail is expected to alleviate the traffic congestion that has long plagued the city and offer a more comfortable and time-efficient journey for commuters.
