The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has reportedly sacked the Chairman of its Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Tunde Balogun.
It was gathered that the embattled politician was removed following allegations of bribery and corruption in the last local government polls in the state.
The Lead Convener of Lagos4Lagos, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor, after the council elections, had accused Balogun of corruption in his handling of the party primaries, asking him to resign.
According to reports, Balogun on Monday started moving his personal belongings from the APC office situated at Acme Road in the Ikeja area of the state.
Meanwhile, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making body of the Lagos APC, has convened an emergency meeting to deliberate on his replacement ahead of the State congress slated for Saturday.
At the meeting which is still ongoing as at time of filing this report, the GAC, according to a source, has zoned the position of Chairman to Lagos West, while Lagos East got Secretary and Woman Leader.
