Again, Lagos APC Postpones Governorship Primary Election
Confirmed reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that the ruling All Progressives Congress have once again announced the postponement of its Lagos Governorship primary election.
BBN gathered that the shifting of the election date was as a result of the issues raised at the world press conference addressed by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the Lagos House on Sunday, September 30th.
An Executive Council member of the Party in Surulere anonymously disclosed to BBN that the Primary Election slated for October 1st was shifted to October 2nd as a result of the intervention of Abuja. He revealed that the major support Governor Ambode is enjoying is that of ‘Abuja’. He however didn’t reveal if the Abuja intervention was from the Presidency or the Party’s Headquarters.
He also added that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is also the Chairman of Reconciliation Committee of the Party has been mandated to reconcile with Governor Ambode so as to have a quick resolution.
