Two members of the cabinet of Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have emerged winners at the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.
The duo are the Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Ruth Abisola Olusanya, and the General Manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB), Mr Mukhtaar Tijani.
Both appointees were named joint winners of the ‘Most Outstanding Young Person in Public Service’ category at the event which took place at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday.
Others listed in the category include the Special Adviser to Lagos State governor on Innovation and Technology, Mr Olatunbosun Alake, and the General Manager of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Mr Damilola Emmanuel.
Representatives of both winners were present to received the plaques on their behalf, and expressed gratitude to the organisers for the recognition.
Tagged “The Working Tribe”, this year’s edition of the Lagos Youth Awards recognised no fewer than 15 exemplary young people in the centre of excellence drawn from different fields of endeavour.
