By Lagos 2019: APC Party Chairmen Endorse Sanwo-Olu For Lagos Governor Deserts Ambode
Despite late minutes maneuvering hope keeps dimming on the 2nd term ambition of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode as All Progressives Chairmen in Lagos State endorsed Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his major opponent in the party’s primary scheduled for later in the month.
In a statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria by the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organization (BOSCO) Media and Publicity Directorate, “at the end of the meeting of the chairmen of all the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State with the Director General of the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organization (BOSCO), Mr. Tayo Ayinde, on the 21st September 2019, it was unanimously agreed and endorsed that Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu be the choice governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the gubernatorial election in 2019.”
According to the statement, the motion was moved at the meeting by the APC Chairman of Odi Olowo LCDA and was seconded by the APC Chairman of Ojodu LCDA.
“During the well-attended meeting, it was further affirmed by the chairmen of the APC in the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State that the full membership and all other machineries of the party should be fully deployed immediately and accordingly at all levels across the state for the emergence of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the winner and consequently the flag-bearer of the party in the primaries slated for 22nd September 2018.”
