Ikorodu waterways played host to prominent indigents of the Division as the Boat Regatta Competition was staged as one of the event lined up for the Lagos @ 50 Ceremony. The boat from Ebute-Iga emerged winner at the end of the race.
The Ebute-Iga Community played host to the regatta competition as other riverine communities joined in the competition.
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode was ably represented by Prince Rotimi Ogunlewe; the three lawmakers of the Division; Hon Babajimi Benson (Ikorodu Federal Constituency), Hon Sanai Agunbiade (Ikorodu State Constituency 1) and Hon Nurudeen Solaja (Ikorodu State Constituency 2) were all present too.
Royal fathers of the Division were led by the Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, who was present with other prominent rulers in the division.
The boat regatta competitors included, Agbowa-Iga Boat, Ebute-Iga Boat Abule-Eko Boat, Ibeshe Boat, Bayeku Boat, Ijede Boat and Ota-Ikosi Boat.
The winner, Ebute-Iga Boat emerged after scoring a total of 92/5%. Below are the scores of other participants and their positions…
