The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has imposed a six-month flight ban on renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, following alleged unruly behaviour at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The ban stems from an event on August 5, 2025, during which K1 allegedly attempted to board a ValueJet flight while carrying an unidentified liquid in a flask.
When approached by aviation security personnel for inspection, he reportedly refused and subsequently poured the contents, suspected to be alcohol on the staff and nearby passengers.
This act led to disruptions in flight operations and prompted the intervention of airport security.
In response to the incident, the NCAA suspended the licenses of the two ValueJet pilots involved for initiating departure procedures without proper clearance.
K1 De Ultimate has denied any wrongdoing, asserting that the flask contained only drinking water and that he was the victim of the situation, BlackBox Nigeria reported.
The NCAA emphasized that the flight ban serves as a deterrent against breaches of aviation safety protocols, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining order and safety within Nigeria’s airspace.
