Justice Forum Urges Youth to Prioritize Dialogue Amid Planned Protest

The Justice Forum, a political group under the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, has urged the youth across the nation to prioritize dialogue and refrain from actions or statements that could precipitate disorder.

This call came during a meeting held at Ikeja on Saturday, where the Coordinator of the group, Rt Hon. James Faleke, emphasized the importance of steering clear of individuals seeking to exploit youthful energy for selfish political gains.

Referring to past events such as the END SARS protests in Lagos, which were marred by violence directed by misguided elements, Hon. Faleke lamented the loss of innocent lives and the destruction of properties valued at billions of Naira.

“We witnessed firsthand how what began as a legitimate protest devolved into chaos, resulting in the tragic loss of lives and extensive property damage,” stated Hon. Faleke. “Similar incidents in Kenya and elsewhere serve as stark reminders of the dangers of allowing genuine grievances to escalate into violence.”

Acknowledging the positive impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies, Hon. Faleke highlighted recent advancements, including a substantial increase in the minimum wage for civil servants and the removal of tariffs on essential food items and student loan payments.

“We call upon all Nigerians to unite in supporting President Tinubu’s efforts to establish a sustainable economic framework that benefits every citizen,” urged Hon. Faleke. “It is imperative for leaders at every level, from the National Assembly to local councils, to actively engage and educate the public about the transformative potential of these policies.”
