Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has recovered from the coronavirus.
This development was announced on Twitter by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, on Thursday.
The aide posted a video that showed the governor stepping out of isolation, to address the press at the State House, Marina.
“Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu tests negative to COVID-19. Now out of isolation,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile the governor has described his experience as during the 14-day isolation as “moderate” while addressing journalists, on Thursday.
“I received very dedicated and competent care from the Lagos State COVID-19 Treatment Team, and I am extremely proud of the work that they do. They are a big part of the success story of the Lagos State COVID-19 Response,” he said.
However, the governor said “All establishments in Lagos State must implement a No-Mask-No-Entry policy for visitors and clients,” reiterating the need for Lagosians to observe all COVID-19 preventive measures as laid down by the health authorities.
Recall Sanwo-Olu tested positive for the novel virus on December 11, 2020 after he came in close contact with an infected aide.
