Just In! Pro Yoruba Group Leader, Pa Fasanmi Dies At 94
The leader of Yoruba Socio Cultural Group, Egbe Afenifere and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Ayo Fasanmi has passed on.
A source in Oshobo disclosed that the elderstateman peacefully passed on at 94years old in his Oshobo residence late Wednesday, July 29th. It was learnt that news of his death was confirmed as well wishers besiege his residence to pay condolences to the family.
Pa Fasanmi, a 2nd Republic Senator was until his death an active member of the ruling party and also leader of the Egbe Afenifere (Ilosiwaju Yoruba).
An official statement released by a member of the family disclosed that Pa Fasanmi was born on 25th September, 1925. He was a trained Pharmacist before joining politics in 1979 via the Unity Party of Nigeria. Though an indigene of Ekiti State, he has lived most of his life in Osogbo, Osun State.
The statement added that the burial arrangement will be announced at a later date by his immediate family in conjunction with his political associates.
