By Just In! Police Arrest Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha (PHOTOS)
Fresh reports reaching the Nigerian media sphere has it that the former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Owelle Okorocha has been arrested by the Police and taken into custody.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that a mild drama ensued in Owerri on Sunday when the former governor broke into Royal Spring Palm Hotel (Akachi Estate), a property which has been sealed by Governor Hope Uzodinma-led State Government. It was learnt that Okorocha argued that there was no court ruling to validate closure of the hotel.
He was then confronted by State Government officials loyal to the State Governor which led to a shoot out before the intervention of the Police. After arriving at the scene, Senator Okorocha was arrested and taken to the State Police headquarters.
It was reported that the fracas led to shooting of one of Okorocha’s boys while vehicles were vandalised.
