By The lawmaker representing Jos North/Bassa federal constituency, Plateau State in the House of Representatives, Haruna Maitala, is dead.
Premium Times reported that a family member confirmed his death Saturday morning.
He died in a road accident along Bade-Gitata road Friday night on his way to Jos. His son, driver and security aide were all in the vehicle, the newspaper said.
Maitala, a first term lawmaker, was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. He becomes the third member of the Green Chamber to die this year, after the duo of Ossy Prestige and Yuguda Kila who had earlier passed on.
