The students of the Obafemi Awolowo University OAU) Ile Ife in Osun State has on shut down the gate of the school to demand a reduction of tuition fees by 50% today.
In the peaceful protest, some of the students with placards with different inscriptions saying, “My mama dey sell fuf, my papa dey ride okada. Where you wan make I see 90k? You dey whine?”, “Let the poor breathe #FeeMustFall”, “You pay N9K, you wan make I pay N90K, U dey whine?”
Efforts to reach the management of the school proved abortive as of press time.
