Veteran Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu is dead.
He reportedly slumped and died on Tuesday evening, according to his wife, Jennifer.
His passing was also confirmed by president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas.
BlackBox Nigeria learnt that the remains of the late actor are on the way to his hometown in Imo State for funeral rites.
Asuzu, who began his acting career in the 1990s, has starred in several movies like ‘Royal War’, ‘Ogidan’, ‘Burning Desire’, ‘Never End’, ‘Broad DayLight’, ‘Last Wedding’, ‘Ugonna’, ‘Labista’ and the 1997 Nollywood classic, ‘Rituals’ which brought him into limelight.
He was also a rapper and producer, known as El Cream.
Until his death, the deceased was said to have been battling with stroke since 2014, which paused his career.
