Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele is reported to have been picked up by
operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
This follows news that he has been asked to step aside to allow for investigations into gross misconduct and mismanagement at the CBN under his watch.
BlackBox Nigeria had earlier reported that the embattled apex banker was asked to hand over to his Deputy who is expected to take over immediately.
While BlackBox Nigeria cannot independently verify these claims at the time of filing this report, it alleged that Mr Emefiele was picked up in Abuja shortly after he was informed of his suspension.
