Just a win away! Super Eagles on brink of 6th World Cup qualification
Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles are set to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. However they need to win their next match against visitors Zambia.
Nigeria will be facing the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Uyo this Saturday as the country hope to qualify for her 6th World Cup appearance. The match comes barely a month after the Super Eagles displayed superb performances to outshine Cameroon home and away beating them 4-0 in Nigeria and playing a deserved draw in Yaounde.
With inspirational skipper, Mikel Obi and other top stars already in camp, Gernot Rohr’s boys are ready to go all out to defeat the visitors when they file out in Uyo this weekend.
Nigeria first qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 1994 and have gone on to participate in the 1998, 2002, 2010 and 2014 editions of the mundial.
