As part of efforts to support educational development in Lagos State, member, House of Representatives, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Babajimi Benson has facilitated the distribution of 1, 500 school bags to Ikorodu Senior Grammar School, as one of the selected secondary schools in Ikorodu.
The facilitated branded school bags were distributed by We Stand Foundation in conjunction with iCare Foundation.
According to the Project Manager, Victory Ashien, the initiative was aimed at relieving the burdens of parents and guardians in providing educational support items to students.
Ashien said the school bags contain writing materials and hand sanitizers to further fight the spread of COVID-19.
The Project Manager stressed that the school kits are meant to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the education of young Nigerians.
She enjoined other well-meaning Nigerians to support in remoulding the fabric of the nation through making decisive changes in the country.
