The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit examination.

The examination was conducted for 336,845 candidates after a glitch affected 157 centers in Lagos and the South-East during the main exam.

According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, 21,082 candidates were absent from the resit examination.

The board also released withheld results of under-age candidates, except where litigation is involved, and those who performed below the established standards.

Candidates involved in WhatsApp Runs and other misdemeanors have also had their results released, with JAMB emphasizing that this decision is a one-time waiver and not an endorsement of their actions.

The board condemned the involvement of some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in perpetrating examination malpractices and resolved to blacklist implicated centers and prosecute their owners.

JAMB also urged governments to regulate tutorial centers to prevent examination malpractice.

The results are now available, except for candidates who committed examination infractions and those slated for mop-up examinations.

Candidates with earlier released results do not need to recheck, as affected candidates will be notified through text messages and emails.

JAMB assured that the charges for result checking via shortcode do not generate revenue for the board but are rather used to protect candidates’ critical data and prevent extortion.
