The milestone came on January 21, 2026, as the popular streamer broadcasted from Nigeria’s bustling commercial capital amid his ongoing “Speed Does Africa” tour.
During the live broadcast, Speed paused events in Lagos to celebrate the surge in subscribers in real time. Footage shared widely on social media shows the streamer observing the count hit 50 million while surrounded by fans and a birthday cake, a moment that quickly trended online.
Many viewers described the coincidence of reaching such a huge subscriber base on his birthday as “the best gift ever.”
