On a cold afternoon in Igbo Owu mini stadium, Mushin, Enthusiast winger Ishola Basit scored a brace to send Ghetto Light FC to the Quarter Finals of the Ilupeju Township games at the expense of Fortune FA.
The brace means that the player has not scored five goals since the relaxation of the ban on contact sports and is now the club’s leading goal scorer.
The game busted into life in the first half when midfielder Ogunleye Muiz drilled a free kick that was destined for the net into the 18 yard box with his first kick of the game only for a Fortune FA player to handle the ball on its way home.
The referee sounded the whistle for penalty and Ishola Basit kept his cool to convert from the spot.
Deep into the second half another substitute Onalapo Olawale found on rushing Ishola Basit with a sublime pass and the wide man coolly executed the finish to put more day light between both team.
