Inspector Taloju Martin, the Station Officer of Ago Command, has been arrested and tried for allegedly extorting a civilian of N40, 000 on the premise of violating the imposed restriction on movement.
Blackboxnigeria gathered that the SO, who also impounded the car of the complaint was arrested after a video of him counting the extorted N40, 000, went viral.
The Lagos State Police Command, after analyzing the video, identified the culprit, and effected his arrest.
The extorted money was recovered and handed over to the complaint, as the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu psc ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police, to conduct an in-depth investigation into the activities of Ago police station as a whole.
