Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, on Wednesday, met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind close doors inside the President’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Though the purpose of the meeting was not disclosed, it was generally believed to be linked to the rising spate of insecurity in Borno State. The state currently grapples with incessant attacks by Boko Haram fighters.
Zulum did not speak with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting. In the same vein, no statement has been issued by the Presidency as regards to the meeting.
Recall one of the Borno communities in Hawul Local Government Area was attacked last Saturday by Boko Haram, with at least three confirmed deaths.
