Spartak Moscow forward, Victor Moses has undergone a successful surgical operation after suffering an Achilles tendon injury.
On August 6, the former Super Eagles winger sustained the injury in a match, and had to be stretchered off the field.
The club, in a statement, had said Moses will undergo a surgical operation for his leg, and he is expected to stay out of football action for the six months at the completion of the surgery.
On Wednesday, Spartak Moscow announced on Instagram that the 31-year-old had been successfully operated in Germany.
“Victor Moses was successfully operated in Germany. Moses’ recovery should take about six months. We wish Victor successful rehabilitation and look forward to his speedy return to the field!,” the post read.
The former Chelsea winger, who has been on an impressive run for the Russian side, scored twice in four league outings in the new campaign.
Moses scored 18 goals in 128 appearances for Chelsea, winning the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup at Stamford Bridge before moving to Russia in July 2021.
He announced his retirement from international football after the Super Eagles failed to qualify from the group stages at the 2018 World Cup.
