In a shocking revelation, Kemi Olunloyo, daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has spoken out about the tumultuous relationship she shared with her father.
In a series of emotional posts on her Facebook page, Kemi disclosed that she would not be accepting condolences over her father’s passing, citing a complicated and painful family history.
According to Kemi, her father was a complex figure who presented a different character to the world versus his family.
She alleged that he was emotionally and physically abusive, and that his actions had a devastating impact on their family unit.
Kemi also claimed that her father was involved in occult practices and “juju,” which she confronted him about on his 80th birthday.
The investigative journalist further revealed that her father’s marriage to Ronke Sonaike, a campaign worker during his 1983 governorship campaign, led to significant turmoil within the family because she was a concubine before her father took her in.
Kemi alleged that Ronke’s relationship with her father was tumultuous and that she had attempted to poison her mother, leading to a near-fatal hospitalization.
Kemi also shared a disturbing incident where her mother allegedly placed a miniature coffin under Ronke’s son’s bed, which she claimed was a form of spiritual attack.
Kemi emphasized that she had forgiven her father but was still grappling with the emotional scars of her childhood.
In her posts, Kemi expressed frustration and sadness over the way her family was affected by her father’s actions.
She also revealed that her brother, Tayo, who was involved in the infamous “Ali Must Go” car accident, had his life ruined by their father’s actions. Kemi concluded by stating that she was special and knew her purpose in life, despite the challenges she faced.
