By The 5th Legislative Assembly of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), on Wednesday, elected Hon. Jessica Enitan-Oba as its Leader.
She emerged during the inaugural sitting of the new Assembly at the Council’s Legislative Chamber, becoming the first woman to hold the position.
Jessica, the councillor who represents Ward A (Ipakodo), served in the just-concluded administration of Princess (Hon.) Jumoke Jimbo-Ademehin as the Supervisory Councillor for Women and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA).
Other functionaries of the House include Hon. Daisi Batife who was voted as the Deputy Leader, while Hon. Abimbola Owomilowomi and Hon. Abimbola Bello emerged as the Majority Leader and Chief Whip of the House, respectively.
