A surge of joy engulfed Ori-Okuta in Agric/Owutu, Ikorodu, Lagos State, as Representative Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR initiated the rehabilitation of Ori-Okuta road, heralding a transformative era for the community, per MegaXpression’s coverage.
In a compelling address, Benson articulated, “Today’s significance extends beyond a personal milestone—it resonates with the people of Ori-Okuta in Ikorodu set to directly benefit from this project.
“This initiation symbolizes the commencement of much-anticipated relief for our community.”
“I stand here today to answer the people’s request, now translated into tangible reality. Commencing immediately, this 1-kilometer road is projected to be completed within 12 weeks, by the grace of God,” he affirmed.
Affectionately dubbed JB, Benson portrayed Ori-Okuta community as a vital element of Ikorodu West LCDA, pledging unwavering commitment to rejuvenate infrastructure in the Ikorodu Division.
Emphasizing the apolitical nature of the projects, he asserted the people’s right to experience the dividends of democracy.
In his capacity as Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Benson unveiled that the Ori-Okuta road projects would spawn job opportunities for residents in Agric/Owutu, as contractors committed to engaging community members in informal work and material supply.
