Prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu North LCDA have appealed to delegates to overwhelmingly vote for Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, a leading aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat in Ikorodu Constituency I at the forthcoming primaries scheduled for May 20.
They spoke on Wednesday when Bolowotan who happens to be the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, concluded his consultative tour to wards in Ikorodu North LCDA which he commenced on Tuesday.
Accompanied by members of his campaign team and selected members of the press, the Lagos Assembly aspirant stopped by Ward E3, Agbala around the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), and later at Ward E1 in the Odogunyan area of Ikorodu.
Bolowotan, who has been moving round wards in Ikorodu Constituency I since Monday, met with party leaders and ward executives in the above mentioned wards to formally inform them on his intention to contest for Lagos State House of Assembly. He equally sought for their support for his ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda, and presented his letter of intent to the party ward chairmen.
“Our plans for the good people of Ikorodu Constituency I have been designed to address problems facing everyone across all levels, especially young people. We will empower them with right skills and support system. They won’t only benefit from free JAMB forms, we will provide scholarship opportunities for them as well,” he said.
He further promised that if elected, he will offer quality representation and facilitate developmental projects and initiatives to every nook and cranny of Ikorodu Constituency 1.
Hon. Toyin Salau, one of the Apex Leader in Ikorodu North, spoke highly of Bolowotan, saying he is a man with good intentions and great plans for the people.
She then appealed the ward executives to support his candidacy with their votes at the forthcoming primaries.
Also speaking, the Supervisor for Education in Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Adesanya Matthew affirmed that Bolowotan is the right man for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat and pledged the support of party leaders in the LCDA for his aspiration.
