Lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson (APC, Lagos State) today submitted a petition during plenary session, seeking for the intervention of the House over prolonged illegal detention of Lagos Politician and businessman, Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi.
Gbadamosi who has been in the detention of the DSS since last week Wednesday has been denied access to both his family and his lawyers.
While submitting the petition, Hon Benson noted that the petition was written by his constituent, Alhaja Wonu Folami OON.
The former Lagos State Commissioner of Justice seeked the prompt intervention of the House over the continued unlawful detention of Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi (BOG) by the DSS.
She stated in the petition that the detention was contrary and total breach of the 1999 Constitution.
The petition was accepted and referred to the Committee on Public Petition for immediate action.
