Ikorodu Central Mosque holds special prayer session for Lagos East senator, Abiru

Ikorodu Central Mosque, on Tuesday, organised a special prayer session for the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Tokunbo Abiru.

According to the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Sheikh Alhaji Chief Imam Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi, the special prayer was held for the Distinguished Senator who facilitated the rehabilitation of the Ikorodu Eid Praying Ground.

The Grand Chief Imam said, “No special gratitude from us at the Ikorodu Central Mosque can equate the huge support Senator Abiru has done to the Muslim community in Ikorodu Division, the little we have in our capacity is to pray to Allah (S.W.T.) to continue to protect and bless him for us.”

Sheikh Olowooribi stated that no fewer than 6 eminent Muslims in Ikorodu were contacted and urged to facilitate the reconstruction of the project but all to no avail.

“Surprisingly, Senator Mukail Abiru responded to the clarion call once, and today we are happy and hopeful of a lovely Eid prayer session,” he said.

“We pray to Allah for a beneficial reward in multiple folds here on earth and in the hereafter for our Distinguish Senator and his household.”

It would be recalled that Senator Abiru who was turbaned as the Ekerin Adinni of Ikorodu Central Mosque, recently commenced the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Ikorodu Central Mosque Eid Praying Ground located on 35-33 Oke-Ota Ona, Ikorodu.

The project which happens to be personal one for the Distinguished Senator will give a new look to the Praying Ground before the end of the Ramadan fast.
