An Ikorodu-born entrepreneur, Ejide Akinbiyi, the founder and CEO of Material Pro, a building material company, has captured the spotlight on the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NASDAQ) entrepreneurship center in Times Square, New York City, as one of the NASDAQ Milestone Maker Program.
NASDAQ, an American stock exchange Market located in New York City, serves as a prominent stock exchange market-based in New York City. Its primary function revolves around facilitating the trading of securities, including stocks, bonds, options, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
NASDAQ is known for listing many technology and growth-oriented companies, including Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google’s parent company Alphabet, and Facebook. It also lists companies from various other sectors, making it one of the largest and most diverse stock exchanges globally.
The Nasdaq Milestone Maker program is an initiative by Nasdaq designed to support and empower entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses. The program typically spans several weeks and provides participants with access to resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them achieve significant milestones in their entrepreneurial journey.
Hailing from the Olisa Family in Ikorodu, Akinbiyi expressed her gratitude on Instagram for the opportunity to be featured on such a prestigious platform, attributing her success to the Nasdaq Milestone Maker program.
